Tyre Brady, WR, Marshall #8
6021, 206, 4.57
Notes: From Homestead, FL. Began college career at Miami (FL). Played sparingly in 2 games as a freshman with the Hurricanes in 2014; did not record any statistics. Played in 8 games and made 3 starts in 2015, catching 9 passes for 112 yards and 1 touchdown. Transferred to Marshall in summer 2016 and sat out that season under NCAA transfer rules. Played in 11 games (all starts) for the Herd in 2017 and led the team in receptions (62), receiver yards (942) and was second in receiving touchdowns (8), despite missing 2+ games due to a shoulder injury.
Positives: Fine size. Good size-speed ratio. Nice catch radius. Strong, reliable hands. Uses his body well against defenders. Adjusts to the ball well and can high-point. Effective over the middle. Strong, physical, determined runner after the catch. Stays on his feet and breaks tackles. Shows toughness and has played through pain. Gets downfield and makes big plays. Has a deceptive stride and above-average straight-line acceleration. Has shown flashes of dominance at times.
Negatives: Lacks elite getaway quickness and true burner speed. Doesn't create a lot of separation with his route-running crispness or natural suddenness. Could use some overall refinement still.
Summary: Solid all-around receiver with good size, hands and above-average speed. Draft stock could depend on how well he runs, but should be a good fit for a team looking for a bigger outside receiver.
