Travis Fulgham, WR, Old Dominion #7
6023, 215, 4.61
Notes: Lived in several places growing up, including Jordan, Egypt, India and South Africa. Didn’t live in the United States until the ninth grade and didn’t start playing football until the eleventh grade. Graduate from high school in Ashburn, VA. Redshirted as a walk-on in 2014, earning a scholarship that fall. Played in 10 games, caught 6 passes for 89 yards in 2015. Started all 13 games at wide receiver, caught 29-478-8 (16.5 avg.) in 2016. Played in all 12 games, starting 7, caught 30-394-1 (13.1 avg.) in 2017. In 12 games, he caught 63-1,083-9 (17.2 avg.) in 2018.
Positives: Well-built with nice size, frame and hands. Natural athlete. Flashed big-play ability, particularly this past season. Good contested-catch receiver with fine reach and ability to compete for the football. Uses his size to his advantage and shield defenders. Has some sneaky deep speed. Strong and effective runner after the catch. Willing worker who has shown steady improvement. Tenacious downfield blocker. Has worked both outside and from the slot.
Negatives: Still learning and somewhat unrefined. Isn’t an elite, quick-twitch, home run threat as a receiver.
Summary: More a possession-type, but deceptively fast and appears to have plenty of upside potential still.
