Riley Ridley, WR, Georgia #8

6012, 200. 4.52

Notes: From Coconut Creek, FL. Full name is actually Cavin Riley Ridley. Younger brother of Falcons wide receiver Calvin Ridley. Did not want to follow in his brother’s footsteps, wanted to make a name for himself, coming out of high school. Originally chose South Carolina, but rescinded and committed to Georgia. Played in 11 games as a freshman in 2016, had 12 catches for 238 yards (19.8 avg.) and 2 touchdowns. Was arrested on a misdemeanor marijuana possession charge and suspended for one game to begin the 2017 season. Played in 14 games, making 7 starts, catching 14-218-2 (15.6 avg.). Started 11 of 13 games and caught 39-509-9 (13.1 avg.) in 2018.

Positives: Nice size with deceptive speed. Gets off the line and runs good pass routes. Shows good awareness for the open area and gets open. Fine hands, body control and athleticism. Adjusts to the ball well and knows how to use his body to shield defenders. Snatches the ball outside his frame. Can win contested catches. Physical runner after the catch who fights for yards. Blocks downfield. Contributed on special teams as an underclassman.

Negatives: Needs some work on his hand use against press coverage. Still developing refinement as a route runner. Does not appear to be a true home run threat deep.

Summary: Good all-around prospect.
