Lil’Jordan Humphrey, WR, Texas #84

6036, 225, 4.50

Notes: From Southlake, TX. His older brother wanted him to be named ‘Michael’ for Michael Jordan, his mother went with Lil’Jordan. Began playing football when he was 4 years old. Played running back and wide receiver in high school. Played in 10 games at wide receiver and on special teams, made 2 catches for 15 yards, as a freshman in 2016. Played in 12 games and made 6 starts, caught 37-431-1, rushed 6-41-1 and completed a pass for 27 yards in 2017. Started all 14 games, caught 86-1,176-9 (13.7 avg.), rushed 6-25-1 and completed 3-of-4 passes for 18 yards and 1 touchdown in 2018.

Positives: Excellent size-speed ratio. Very good catch-and-run receiver who makes plays. Natural athlete and pass catcher with very good hands. Very strong and physical. Fine runner after the catch. Difficult to bring down one-on-one. Nice catch radius. Very effective in contested situations where he uses his size well to win. A factor on gadget plays like jet sweeps and can line up in the backfield.

Negatives: Has occasional concentration lapses, leading to dropped passes. Doesn’t have elite quick-twitch quickness. Can use some route refinement. Seems to look for contact more than daylight sometimes.

Summary: Has Cordarrelle Patterson-like talent, but is even bigger and more refined as a pass receiver.
