Notes: From Memphis, TN. Nickname is “Money Mitch.” Also played basketball as a prep. Prized recruit out of high school. Played in 6 games, with 2 receptions for 9 yards and 7 punt returns for 26 yards as a true freshman in 2016. Started 12 games and caught 42-517-4 (12.3 avg.) and returns punts 11-89 (8.1 avg.) in 2017. In 13 games, caught 75-1,184-10 (15.8 avg.) and punt returns 3-10 in 2018. Set school record for receiving yards in season as junior.
Positives: Fine size-speed ratio. Fluid, graceful and athletic. Nice length and very good hands. Shows physicality and competes for the football. Fine body control and flexibility. Adjusts to the ball and high-points nicely. Plucks the ball. Good possession receiver who can move the chains, but also offers smooth, gliding deep speed. Very good runner after the catch. Very nifty with good vision to daylight and quick-cutting ability.
Negatives: Slender build. Drops some balls. Young and still learning and maturing.
Summary: Solid all-around prospect who reminds me a lot of Michael Thomas (Saints) coming out.
