Notes: From Palmdale, CA. Intended redshirt sitting out the first 3 games of the season, but started the final 10 games at free safety in 2015; posted 65 tackles, 0.5 TFL, 8 PBU and 6 INT. Played in all 12 games and finished with 74 tackles, 3 TFL, 3 PBU, 2 FF and 3 FR in 2016. Played in all 12 games and recorded 94 tackles, 1.5 TFL, 3 INT (for 139 yards, including a 100-yard return, and 2 TDs) and 1 FR in 2017; became just the third player in NCAA history to score three times in one game via return, returning two interceptions and a blocked punt for touchdowns against San Jose State.
Positives: Quick, agile and athletic. Tenacious and scrappy. Instinctive. Has good hands and a knack for the ball. Makes things happen after the interception, is a quick, nifty, darter runner in the open field.
Negatives: Lacks the size you’d like inside at safety and not quite as fast as you’d like outside.
Summary: Looks like a good nickel defender prospect.
