Jeremy Smith, RB, Louisville #34
6012, 224, 4.62
Notes: From Hammond, LA. Began college career at Fresno City Community College, where he ran for 1,735 yards and 17 touchdowns in 2014. Enrolled at Louisville in January 2015, appeared in 11 games, making 2 starts as a sophomore. Played in 13 games, rushed 57-382-8 (6.7 avg) in 2016. Saw action in just 1 game after suffering a season-ending injury (fractured bone in his foot) early in 2017, rushing 5-8. Obtained his release to transfer following the season. Graduated, looked at other schools, but opted to return to Louisville in 2018.
Positives: Big, powerful, punishing runner with big thighs and exceptional lower-body strength. Breaks tackles and can move the pile. Surprising speed for size. Good balance and determination. Has some weave in the open-field. Can catch and block.
Negatives: Needs to improve overall conditioning. Lacks great vision or instincts at times. Needs refinement in all phases.
Summary: Has some natural ability but does not appear to have fully committed himself to being as good as he possibly can. Could surprise if he does, however.
