Tytus Howard, OT, Alabama State #58

6046, 311, 5.08

Notes: From Monroeville, AL. Played quarterback in high school. Also lettered in basketball. Enrolled at Alabama State as a tight end in 2014. Appeared in 8 games, starting 6, in 2015. Played in 9 games, starting 7, in 2016. Started all 11 games at tackle in 2017. Started all 11 games in 2018.

Positives: Big, naturally strong, athletic and light on his feet. Long arms and can deep defenders off his body and steer them wide on pass protection. Can put defenders away when he really wants to. Has frame to add strength. Can mirror and slide in pass protection and shows good balance. Can anchor. Moves well and can block in space.

Negatives: Needs technique refinement, with both footwork and hand use. Gets by a bit too much on raw ability at this point. Allows his hands to get outside at times, leading to penalties. Doesn’t always finish.

Summary: Raw talent with very good upside.
