Notes: From Cleveland, OH. Only played two seasons of football in high school. Redshirted in 2015. Played in 13 games and started 12 as a true freshman in 2016, posting 52 tackles and 4 TFL. Saw action in 12 games (missed 2 with a leg injury), posting 20 tackles 5 TFL, 1 sack and 1 blocked kick in 2017.
Positives: Explosive and athletic. Very quick off the ball. Difficult to block one-on-one. Consistently penetrates and disrupts. Good toughness and strength at the point of attack. Has a knack for slipping blocks. Refined spin move. Uses his hands and arms effectively to keep blockers off his body, disengages and flows to the ball. Good ball awareness and feel for the game. Gets upfield on the pass rush. Hustles in pursuit.
Negatives: Lacks outstanding height or massive frame. Gets knocked off the ball occasionally. Can be more stout at the point. Still developing his pass rush moves.
Summary: Was more productive in 2016 than last season. Could be a first-round pick if he rebounds and continues to improve.
