Notes: From Lewisville, TX. His father, Deatrich Wise Sr., was a ninth-round pick by the Seahawks in 1998 who also spent time with the Saints and the B.C. Lions in the CFL. His brother, Deatrich Wise Jr., was a fourth-round pick by the Patriots in 2017. Redshirted in 2014. Saw action in all 12 games, starting 7, with 26 tackles, 5.5 TFL, 3.5 sacks, 1 PBU and 1 blocked kick in 2015. Started at defensive tackle in all 11 games he played, posting 38 tackles, 10 TFL, 3 sacks, 1 PBU and 2 blocked kicks, in 2016. Voted a team captain in 2017; totaled 53 tackles, 16 TFL, 7 sacks, 1 PBU and 1 FR.

Positives: Quick off the ball. Disruptive and gets into the opponent’s backfield a lot. Good motor. Keeps his feet moving and working with his hands. Sheds blocks and closes nicely. Plays with intensity and passion.

Negatives: Needs to continue developing his strength. Gets overpowered and engulfed by bigger blockers at times.

Summary: Decent ‘under’ tackle prospect with NFL bloodlines.
