Isaiah Buggs, DE-DT, Alabama #49

6042, 292 4.94

Notes: From Ruston, LA. Did not receive FBS scholarship offers out of high school. Had outstanding Junior College career at Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College in 2015-16. Talented musician who sings and plays piano and just about any instrument. Chose the Tide over home state LSU and others, for the coaching and stability of the program. Started 13 games and played in every game in 2017; posted 51 tackles, 1.5 sacks, 4 TFL, 7 QBP.

Positives: Looks the part. Nice blend of size and movement skills. Long arms. Uses his hands effectively. Gets upfield. Active against the run. Can hold his own at the point of attack, play off blocks, and get in on tackles down the line. Disruptive at times.

Negatives: Quiet for stretches as a pass rusher. Lacks great agility and change of direction.

Summary: More a solid complimentary player than standout force on his own, but still has continued upside potential.
