Notes: From Gilmer, TX. A cousin, Curtis Brown, was a third-round pick by the Steelers in 2011, who spent 3 seasons in the NFL and some time in the CFL. Another cousin is former NFL cornerback Bobby Taylor, who spent 10 seasons in the NFL with the Eagles and Seahawks. Played in all 12 games on defense and special teams, registered 16 tackles and 1 FF, in 2015. Played in 12 games and started the final 8 at cornerback, with 51 tackles, 1.5 TFL, 1 INT, 6 PBU, 2 FF and 2 FR in 2016. Played in all 13 games and started 12, with 57 tackles, 0.5 TFL, 2 INT (for 70 return yards) and 17 PBU in 2017.

Positives: Nice size, speed and athletic ability. Solidly build and strong for size. Plays the ball well and has a knack for breaking up passes. Can usually run stride-for-stride with receivers in downfield coverage. Anticipates well and is often in the action. Physical with receivers. Willing hitter. Has returned kickoffs.

Negatives: Gets caught looking into the backfield occasionally. Needs some polish on his cover technique and footwork.

Summary: Solid all-around prospect who could move up with a strong senior campaign.
