Trevon Wesco, TE-FB, West Virginia #88
6032, 274, 4.88
Notes: From Martinsburg, WV. Began college at Lackawanna College (PA) in 2014-15. Caught 5 passes for 47 yards in 2014. Missed the 2015 season due to injury. Backup tight end and special teamer who saw action in 10 games, caught 1-6-1 at West Virginia in 2016. Played in 13 games and caught 1-1 in 2017. Played in all 12 games and caught 26-336-1 in 2018.
Positives: Nice size and bulk. Plays with passion and intensity. Emerged as a very productive pass receiver as senior. Very good hands; can pluck the ball and squeeze it with one hand. Plays faster and is pretty nifty for his size. Strong, physical, punishing runner after the catch who does not go down easily. Solid blocker. Gets movement into his blocks and finishes nicely.
Negatives: Average stopwatch speed, quickness and maneuverability.
Summary: Can make a team as a backup and contribute. His combination of impressive hands and all-around physicality will impress coaches in training camp.
