Noah Fant, TE, Iowa #87

6043, 243, 4.72

Notes: From Omaha, NE. Three-sport athlete in high school who also competed in track and basketball. Saw action in 11 games, recording 9 receptions for 70 yards and 1 touchdown in 2016. Played in all 13 games and caught 30-494-11 (16.5 avg.) in 2017. In 12 games, caught 39-519-7 (13.3 avg.) in 2018.

Positives: Fine athlete with unique blend of size and speed. Mismatch for safeties and linebackers downfield. Good hands and natural pass-catching ability. Comes off the ball quickly and establishes position as a blocker. Shows effort. Dynamic downfield target in the passing game. Good catch radius and outstanding leaping ability (42-inch vertical). Very effective red zone receiver. Runs well after the catch. Runs all the routes. Highly versatile. Can line up at the line, out wide or be a move tight end.

Negatives: Somewhat lean frame with limitations as an in-line blocker. Can improve strength and intensity as a blocker. Seemed to fall out of favor with coaches a bit this past season.

Summary: Jimmy Graham-type talent who can really stress a defense with his impact in the passing game.
