6026, 308, 5.04
Notes: From Lee, FL. Played in and started all 13 games at defensive end, totaling 15 tackles, 5 tackles-for-loss, 1 sack and 1 forced fumble in 2016. Started all 13 games along the defensive line, posting 20 tackles, 4 TFL and 2 sacks in 2017. He considered transferring following the season. Played in 12 games, starting 1, made 36 tackles, 10.5 TFL, 3 sacks and had 2 rushes for 1 yard and a touchdown in 2018. Hill declared early for the draft after the team’s bowl win. In doing so, he thanked former UCF coach Scott Frost, but notably did not acknowledge current coach Josh Heupel and his staff. His playing time was reportedly affected by his practice performances and other issues as a junior.
Positives: Well-built and naturally strong. Excellent first-step quickness . Explosive off the ball. Flashes dominance and disruption. Stays low. Long, strong arms. Shows heavy hands. Can swim and disengage from blockers. Moves well for his size. Can move laterally. Has lined up at fullback in short yardage.
Negatives: Inconsistent production. Has shown a lack of focus and discipline at times. Is not a great natural pass rusher.
Summary: Still raw but has significant upside.
